[ PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 682, April 07, 1975 ]

GRANTING PHILIPPINE CITIZENSHIP TO REV. PAUL P. ZWAENEPOEL.

WHEREAS, Rev. Paul P. Zwaenepoel, a citizen of Belgium, has manifested his desire to become a Philippine citizen;

WHEREAS, as a Catholic of the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (C.I.C.M.), and educator, he has shown dedication not only in the educational upbringing of the residents of the Mountain Provinces and adjacent provinces but also in the social upliftment of the natives; and

WHEREAS, by virtue of his long and invaluable service to the Filipino people, Fr. Zwaenepoel has proven himself worthy and deserving of all the rights, privileges and prerogatives of a citizen of this country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby grant Philippine Citizenship to Rev. Paul P. Zwaenepoel, with all the rights, privileges and prerogatives appurtenant thereto.

This Decree shall take effect immediately.

Done in the City of Manila, this 7th day of April, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-five.
