APPROVING AND GRANTING THE WAIVER OF TWO THOUSAND PESOS (PHP 2,000.00) TVET PROGRAM REGISTRATION FEE UNDER UNIFIED TVET PROGRAM REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION SYSTEM (UTPRAS) FOR AH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE TVET AND HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS PARTICIPATING IN THE LADDERIZED EDUCATION PROGRAM (LEP)
WHEREAS, in the 16lh TESDA Board meeting which was held last 23 January 1998, the TESDA Bord considered and approved Board Resolution No. 1998-03 "Establishment of Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System;
WHEREAS, in the 28lh TESDA Board Meeting which was held last 25 April 2000, the TESDA Board considered and approved Board Resolution No. 2000-03 "Approving the Adoption of the Omnibus Amendatory Guidelines in the Establishment of a Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System;
WHEREAS, in the 39"1 TESDA Board Meeting which was held last 4 September 2003, the TESDA Board considered and approved Board resolution No. 2003-17 "Approving and Adopting the Unified Technical Vocational Education and Training Program Registration and Accreditation System {UTPRAS} Guidefines on Sanctions and Penalties;
WHEREAS, the Ladderized Education Program is a priority of the government and there is a need to aggressively promote the active participation of all public and private institutions nationwide in order to fully achieve its objectives;
WHEREAS, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) have jointly undertaken initiative to support the full implementation of Ladderized Education Program (LEP);
WHEREAS, one initiative to encourage more public and private TVET and Higher Education Institutions to participate in LEP is to provide incentives through the waiving of the program registration fee for TVET being applied for LEP. This commitment has been embodied in the Joint Statement of the TESDAand CHED on Pinoy Ladderized Education Program issued on 4 September2007;
WHEREAS, in the Special Support to TVET Provision TESDA Board-TESDA Secretariat Consultation Meeting held last 28 November 2007 the grant authority to waive the non-refundable TVET Program Registration fee of Two Thousand Pesos (Php2,000.00) for every qualification embedded in a ladderized curriculum for all public and private institutions was deliberated upon and favorably recommended to the EXCOM-TESDA Board for consideration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the TESDA Board in its meeting today, 19 December 2007 approves the waiver of Two Thousand Pesos (Php2,000.00) TVET Program Registration Fee under the Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System (UTPRAS) for all Public and Private TVET and Higher Education Institutions participating in the Ladderized Education Program (LEP). The waiver shall apply to all TVET programs registered from the.date of effectivity of this resolution up to one (1) year, after which the Two Thousand Pesos (Php2.000.00) Program Registration Fee per qualification shall apply.
BE IT RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be published and disseminated to all concerned and shall be effective fifteen (15) days upon its publication.

The waiver shall apply to all TVET programs registered from the.date of effectivity of this resolution up to one (1) year, after which the Two Thousand Pesos (Php2.000.00) Program Registration Fee per qualification shall apply.
