[ Act No. 3587, November 27, 1929 ]
AN ACT CREATING THE POSITION OF A TRADE COMMISSIONER IN CHINA WHO SHALL STUDY ECONOMIC CONDITIONS IN CHINA IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THE EXPORTATION OF OUR PRODUCTS TO THAT COUNTRY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
SECTION1. The Governor-General is hereby authorized to appoint every four years, with the advice and consent of the Senate a Trade Commissioner in China, whose office shall be in Shanghai, China, and whose duty it shall be under the direction, supervision and control of the Secretary of Commerce and Communications, to study economic conditions in China with a view to facilitating the exportation of Philippine products to that country, look for new markets m that country and, in general, watch over the commercial interests of the Philippines in China.
SEC. 2. The Trade Commissioner in China shall receive a salary of six thousand pesos, Philippine currency, per annum.
SEC. 3. The necessary funds of carrying out the purposes of this Act shall be provided annually in the appropriation act.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
