[ Act No. 2340, February 27, 1914 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING THAT CRIMINAL CASES FROM WHICH AN APPEAL HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE FEDERAL SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES SHALL BE TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH WITHOUT EXPENSE TO THE APPELLANT.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

SECTION 1. It is hereby provided that all criminal cases decided by the Supreme Court of the Philippine Islands and carried in appeal to the Federal Supreme Court of the United States, shall, prior to being forwarded to the latter court, be translated into English by the office of the Attorney-General of the Insular Government of the Philippine Islands, without any expense to the appellant. 

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
