[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8986, December 09, 2000 ]
AN ACT DECLARING MARCH TWENTY-ONE, A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF CALAPAN, PROVINCE OF ORIENTAL MINDORO
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. March twenty-one of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in the City of Calapan, Province of Oriental Mindoro to commemorate the creation/birth of the said City.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on September 22, 1999 and October 2, 2000, respectively.
