[ POEA ADVISORY NO. 29, S. 2011, June 13, 2011 ]
INSURANCE COMPANIES ISSUING OFFICIAL RECEIPTS WITH HANDWRITTEN SERIAL NUMBERS
It has come to the attention of this Administration that there are some insurance companies issuing Official Receipts with handwritten serial numbers, instead of the required computerized receipts, purportedly for payment of the mandatory insurance coverage premium.
Agencies are hereby advised to demand valid computerized official receipts from their insurance companies so as to avoid any liability arising from any infraction committed by their insurers, particularly in relation to the provision on the mandatory insurance for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) under RA 10022.
For strict compliance.
