[ PRC PROFESSIONAL REGULATORY BOARD OF PHARMACY RESOLUTION NO. 01(A), S. 2011, January 31, 2011 ]
REVISING RES. NO. 86, SERIES OF 1986 BY PROVIDING A NEW PASSING GENERAL AVERAGE RATING OF AN EXAMINEE IN THE BOARD LICENSURE EXAMINATION FOR PHARMACISTS
WHEREAS, the Professional Regulatory Board of Pharmacy, (the Board) issued Board Resolution No. 86, Series of 1986, prescribing the passing grade in the Board Licensure Examination for Pharmacists: An examinee must obtain a general weighted average of seventy-five (75%) percent with no rating below fifty (50%) percent IN MORE THAN ONE (1) SUBJECT;
WHEREAS, the Board has decided to revise the aforesaid rating by providing therein this new qualifying provision: from with no rating below 50% in more than one (1) subject to x x x in ANY SUBJECT ; and
WHEREAS, the said revision can be effected by virtue of Sec. 9 (h) of R.A. No. 8981, called the PRC Modernization Act of 2000 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board RESOLVES, as it is hereby RESOLVED, to revise Res. No. 86, Series of 1986 by providing this new passing grade: To pass the examination, an examinee must obtain a general weighted average rating of at least 75% with no rating below 50% in ANY SUBJECT.
This amended rating shall be applied starting in the JANUARY 2011 Board Licensure Examination for Pharmacists.
This Resolution shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following its full and complete publication in the Official Gazette or any major daily newspaper of general circulation in the Philippines.
Let copy hereof be furnished to the Board, the Rating Division and other concerned PRC Offices, UP Law Center, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and the institutions of higher learning offering the course of pharmacy, for dissemination to all concerned.
