AN ACT CREATING A SEPARATE ENGINEERING DISTRICT IN THE FOURTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT IN THE PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. The cities of Bago and La Carlota, municipalities of Pontevedra, Valladolid, San Enrique and Pulupandan, which comprise the Fourth District of the Province of Negros Occidental are hereby constituted into an engineering district to be known as the Fourth Engineering District Office of the Province of Negros Occidental.
SEC. 2. The Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways is hereby authorized to transfer the records, property, equipment, supplies and materials pertaining to the jurisdiction of the Engineering District of the Fourth Congressional District of Negros Occidental in accordance with existing laws, rules and regulations.
SEC. 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days from the date of the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on May 23, 2000 and November 15, 2000, respectively.
