AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 2152, DATED DECEMBER 20, 1981, WHICH DECLARED PARTS OF THE COUNTRY AS MANGROVE SWAMP FOREST RESERVES, BY SEGREGATING THEREFROM CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE ISLAND OF PANGLAO, PROVINCE OF BOHOL AND RESERVING THE SAME AS A PROTECTED AREA PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7586 (NIPAS ACT OF 1992) TO BE KNOWN AS PANGLAO ISLAND PROTECTED SEASCAPE
Upon recommendation of the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and pursuant to the powers vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO, President of the Philippines, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 2152, dated December 20, 1981, which declared parts of the country as Mangrove Swamp Forest Reserves, by segregating therefrom certain portions of the Island of Panglao, Province of Bohol and reserving the same as a protected area pursuant to Republic Act No. 7586 (NIPAS Act of 1992) to be known as Panglao Island Protected Seascape, under the administration of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, subject to valid private rights, if any there be, and actual ground survey. The portions of-Panglao Island which are already classified as alienable and disposable lands shall be open for disposition under the provisions of the Public Land Act. The parcels of land which comprise the Panglao Island Protected Seascape are more particularly described as follows:
