[ PHILRACOM RESOLUTION NO. 28-10, September 09, 2010 ]
RETURN OF BROODMARE TO ACTIVE RACING AFTER FOALING
WHEREAS, there were iquiries received by the PHILRACOM as to whether a broodmare can comeback to active racing after foaling;
WHEREAS, the Regulation and Licensing Division (RLD) of the PHILRACOM made the following recommendations in response to the aforesaid query to wit:
1. Locally bred horses can return to active racing after breeding or foaling provided that the owner updates the registration fees;
2. Imported horses which are runners and were bred or covered by stallions shall be ineligible to return to active racing even if its age is within the seven year old limit;
3. Imported horses which arrived in the Philippines in foal (pregnant) or with foal in foot shall be disqualified from racing. It shall be considered for breeding purposes only.
4. An imported horse which is a registered stallion at the point of origin or elsewhere shall be ineligible to race.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Philracom Board of Commissioners resolved, as it hereby resolves, that:
1. Locally bred horses can return to active racing after breeding or foaling provided that the owner updates the registration fees;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this resolution be furnished the horseowners and all persons concerned for their proper guidance and the same be published in the kopya and furnished the UP Law Center for publication.
