[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10616, August 28, 2013 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FISH PORT IN THE CITY OF DAGUPAN, PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1.   Establishment of a Fish Port . – There shall be established, under the supervision of the Department of Agriculture through the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), a fish port in the City of Dagupan, Province of Pangasinan.

SEC. 2.   Implementing Rules and Regulations . – The Department of Agriculture, through the PFDA, shall formulate the rules and regulations necessary for the effective implementation of this Act.

SEC. 3.   Appropriations . – The Secretary of Agriculture shall include in the Department’s program the construction of the said fish port, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The local government unit concerned shall set aside funds from any available local revenues in an amount deemed appropriate for its operationalization.

SEC. 4.   Effectivity . – This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in two (2) newspapers of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on May 21, 2012 and June 6, 2013, respectively.
