WHEREAS, August 30 marks the Charter Day anniversary of the City of Mandaue;

WHEREAS, to give the people of the City of Mandaue ample opportunity to celebrate the occasion, the Sangguniang Panlungsod requested that Friday, 29 August 2014 be declared as a special (non-working) day instead of 30 August 2014, which falls on a Saturday;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Mandaue be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III do hereby declare Friday, 29 August 2014, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Mandaue.
