[ PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1843-A, April 14, 1982 ]
AMENDING PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1843, ENTITLED “REORGANIZING THE LUPONG TAGAPAGPAGANAP OF REGIONS IX AND XII”
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Presidential Decree No. 1843 is hereby amended to read as follows:
“SECTION. 1. There shall be a Lupong Tagapagpaganap that shall serve as the executive unit for regions IX and XII to be composed of a chairman, two (2) vice-chairmen, and four (4) members who shall be appointed by the President on recommendation of the Sangguniang Pampook and who may or may not be members thereof. They shall be vested with the same powers and responsibilities as defined in Presidential Decree No. 1618 and other pertinent laws, executive orders, letters of instructions, and implementing orders and regulations. Any elective official who is appointed Lupong Chairman or member of the Lupong Tagapagpaganap shall vacate his elective position, except his being a member of the Sangguniang Pampook.”
SECTION 2. This decree shall take effect immediately.
