[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6710, February 10, 1989 ]
AN ACT DECLARING SEPTEMBER 1 OF EACH YEAR AS BAGUIO CHARTER DAY AND A SPECIAL NON-WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE CITY OF BAGUIO IN ORDER TO COMMEMORATE THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE SAID CITY
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. In order to commemorate the anniversary of the City of Baguio, September 1 of each year is hereby declared as Baguio Charter Day and a special non-working holiday in the said city.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on September 22, 1988 and December 2, 1988, respectively.
