[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4335, June 19, 1965 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE BINMALEY SCHOOL OF FISHERIES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BINMALEY, PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN, INTO A COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN AS THE PANGASINAN COLLEGE OF FISHERIES, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Binmaley School of Fisheries in the Municipality of Binmaley, Province of Pangasinan, is hereby converted into a college to be known as the Pangasinan College of Fisheries to offer, in addition to the secondary fishery curriculum, a four-year teacher education course, a four-year technical fisheries curriculum and a two-year technical fisheries curriculum.

SEC. 2. The Pangasinan College of Fisheries shall be headed by a Superintendent and shall be under the supervision of the Director of Vocational Education.

SEC. 3. The Director of Vocational Education is hereby empowered to reorganize said school accordingly.

SEC. 4. In addition to the appropriation for the Binmaley School of Fisheries in the General Appropriations Act, the sum of six hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the conversion, operation and maintenance of said college during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-six. Thereafter, the necessary sum for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
