AIRCRAFT REGISTRATION IDENTIFICATION PLATE

    In the interest of public safety, pursuant to PCAR Part 4 and in conformance to the lCAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), all aircraft owners and/or operators are hereby directed to comply with the requirements of an aircraft identification plate, PCAR Part 4.3.1.11, consistent with the following requirements:

    1. Material: Fireproof material, stainless steel is preferred but other fireproof material of suitable physical properties may be allowed;
    2. Size: Size shall be a minimum of 1-inch x 2-inches or a maximum of 6-inches by 3-inches, depending on the size of the aircraft. Size may differ for each aircraft type;
    3. Location: Aircraft identification plate must be located inside the aircraft and near the main entrance door or alongside with the manufacturer ™s data plate;
    4. Contents: At least the nationality and registration marks;
    5. Markings: Machine etched not painted

Further, approval of the above mentioned specifications and the plate ™s location is required prior to installation. Aircraft identification plate compliance and conformity inspection will be carried out during original issuance and/or revalidation of Certificate of Registration.

EFFECTlVITY CLAUSE:

This Memorandum Circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days after compliance with the requisite single newspaper publication and a copy filed with the U.P. Law Center - Office of the National Administrative Register.
