Be it ordained by the City Council of Manila, in session assembled, THAT:

SECTION 1. The City Mayor is hereby authorized to cause the acquisition, either by negotiation, expropriation or by any other legal means, of that certain parcel of land with an area of Four Thousand Two Hundred Sixty Square Meters and Seventy Square Decimeters (4,260.70 Sg. M.), more or less, located in Bambang, Tondo, Manila, covered by Transfer Certificate of Title No. 002-2014002962, registered under tha name of Thinktrek Consultancy Services, Incorporated, in the Registry of Deeds for the City of Manila, for the actual and bona fide tenants thereat, under the land-for-the-landless Program of the City of Manila.

SEC. 2. The aforementioned parcel of land, sought to be acquired, shall be for the benefit of the bona fide tenants/occupants thereat, particularly the registered members of Samahang Bagong Diwa of Bambang, Inc., based in the area, for resale at cost and on installment basis not exceeding twenty (20) years.

SEC. 3. The amount of Sixteen Million Pesos (PhP. 16,000,000.00), or so much thereof, as may be necessary is hereby appropriated, out of any unappropriated funds existing in the City Treasury, to be made available for the implementation of this Ordinance.

SEC. 4. Effectivity Clause. - This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.

This Ordinance was finally enacted by the City Council of Manila on May 3, 2016.
