CHANGING œMALACA AN PALACE  TO œMALACA ANG  AND DIRECTING THE OMISSION OF œEXCELLENCY  IN ADDRESSING THE PRESIDENT.



By virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, RAMON MAGSAYSAY, President of the Philippines, do hereby order:

1. The official residence of the President of the Philippines, heretofore referred to as œMalaca an Palace,  shall hereafter be called œMalaca ang. 

2. The word œExcellency  shall he omitted in addressing the President of the Philippines. He shall be addressed as œMr. President.  Letters and other communications will be addressed as follows:

  President Ramon Magsaysay
  Malaca ang, Manila

Done in the City of Manila, this 4th day of January, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-four, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the eighth.
