The Hong Kong government has raised the minimum monthly wage for foreign domestic helpers from HK$ 3,500 to HK$ 3,750 effective 01 September 1994. Employment contracts, therefore, verified on or after the said effectively date should provide for the new statutory minimum wage as prescribed by the Hong Kong government.
