Based on Memorandum Circular No. 8 dated 7 October 1991 issued by the National Quarantine Office-Department of Health (NQO-DOH), it is herein informed that cholera vaccination is no longer required of any traveller whether arriving in the Philippines from a foreign country or departing from the Philippines for another country.

The World Health Organization has advised earlier that œvaccination against cholera cannot prevent the introduction of the infection into a country. 

The However, the NQO-DOH shall continue to provide cholera vaccination for travellers going to other countries which will still require the vaccination.
