CREATING A COMMITTEE TO LOOK INTO THE ADVISABILITY OF CONTINUING THE USE OF THE MILITARY HEAD-GEAR
For the purpose of studying and reporting upon the advisability of continuing the use of the military head-gear new required by the Government, there is hereby created and constituted a Committee which shall meet at the call of the Chairman and shall be composed of the following members:
The Committee shall investigate and fully consider the national advantages and disadvantages of using guinit on a commercial scale in the manufacture of the military head-gear, including the present and probable future effects upon coconut trees and the coconut industry, and shall likewise consider the feasibility of using any other native raw material as a substitute for guinit in manufacturing processes.
The Committee shall submit its report and recommendations to the President at the earliest practicable date. The report shall contain a complete analysis of all available evidence bearing upon the subject of its investigation.
Done at the City of Manila, this 9th day of April, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the third.
(1) Chief of Staff, Philippine Army, Chairman;A secretary for the Committee and the necessary clerical assistance shall be provided by the Director of Plant Industry, from among the members of his office.
(2) Manager, National Development Company, Member;
(3) Director of Plant Industry, Member.
