CREATING A COMMITTEE ON IMPROVEMENT OF THE ELECTRICAL POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF MANILA
It appearing desirable in the interest of public safety and convenience that the existing electrical power transmission system in the City of Manila be improved and modernized;
Now, therefore, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by law, do hereby appoint and constitute a committee composed of Professor H. B. Reyes, as Chairman, and Mr. C. Coronel and Mr. A. C. Tanco as Members, to study and report on the feasibility and advisability of requiring the replacement of the present a rial power lines in the City of Manila with an adequate underground electrical power transmission system.
This Committee, which shall meet at such places and times as may be designated by the Chairman, is hereby empowered to call on any official, office, branch or dependency of the Government for such data and assistance as may be required. It shall submit its findings and recommendations at the earliest practicable date.
Members of this Committee other than government employees shall be entitled to a per diem of twenty pesos for each day that they attend meetings.
Done at the City of Baguio, this 22nd day of April, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the third.
