WHEREAS, Section 5.6 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act No. 4566 (Contractor ™s License Law) provides for a grading scale for contractors from Category AAA, AA, A, B. C, D, and Trade, in descending order;

WHEREAS, to provide a more descriptive term to Category Trade, changing the same to œE  will clarify the level or category to where it belongs; and,

WHEREAS, Category œTrade  category has become the entry level for contractors with lower financial capability or contractors without a Sustaining Technical Employee (STE).

NOW, THEREFORE, based on the foregoing premises, the Board RESOLVED the following:

1. Starting CFY 2014-2015, all licenses of Category œTrade  contractors will be issued as Category œE. 
2. Application for specialty classifications will require an appropriate STE with at least three (3) of years construction experience in the specialty applied for; and,
3. All other requirements for licensing shall be complied with.
