CREATING A COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL HEROES DAY ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 30, 1953



WHEREAS, National Heroes Day falls on the last Sunday of August of every year;

WHEREAS, it is necessary that the day be observed with appropriate ceremonies designed to perpetuate the significance of the event;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby create a Committee to take charge of the celebration of National Heroes Day on Sunday, August 30, 1953. The Committee shall ˜be composed of the following:

The Committee shall meet at the call of the Chairman, and for the purposes of discharging its functions, may create such sub-committees as may be necessary.
