[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 58, July 26, 1945 ]
REDUCING THE TERRITORY OF THE CITY OF GREATER MANILA
Pursuant to the powers vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the Philippines, I, SERGIO OSME A, President of the Philippines, do hereby reduce the territory of the City of Greater Manila as created by Executive Order No. 400, dated January 1, 1942, by eliminating therefrom the territories formerly comprised in the municipalities of Caloocan, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasay and Para aque. The said territories are hereby reconverted and restored into their former status of municipalities of the Province of Rizal.
Notwithstanding such reconversion and restoration into their former status as municipalities of Caloocan, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasay and Para aque, the police jurisdiction of the City of Greater Manila over the territories comprised in said municipalities shall continue. The above recreated municipalities shall contribute their proportionate share to the appropriations for the police department of the City of Greater Manila.
This Order shall take effect on August 1, 1945.
Done at the City of Manila, this 26th day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-five, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the tenth.
