REGULATIONS GOVERNING QUARTERS ALLOWANCES OF PHILIPPINE ARMY OFFICERS



By virtue of the provisions of sections ninety and ninety-five of Commonwealth Act Numbered One, commonly known as œThe National Defense Act,  I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, do hereby promulgate the following regulations governing allowances for quarters for officers of the Philippine Army for the information and guidance of all concerned:

1. Every officer permanently assigned to a post or station outside of Manila where government owned or controlled buildings are available for use a quarters shall be furnished quarters in such building or parts thereof as may be determined adequate for the purpose by the Chief of Staff or his duly authorized representative, who shall take into consideration the rank and civil status of the officer concerned. In the case of unmarried officer where no separate quarters are available, they shall be quartered together in barracks or rented buildings.

2. Officers permanently assigned to a post or station outside of Manila where adequate public quarters are not available shall be allowed the actual cost of rentals at such station or vicinity thereof, provided such rentals are not in excess of allowances prescribed by law.

3. Every officer permanently stationed in Manila where public quarters are not available shall be allowed the commutation of quarters prescribed by law.
