PRESCRIBING THE PAYMENT OF PARACHUTIST PAY FOR OFFICERS OF THE AIRBORNE BATTALION OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES
WHEREAS, an Airborne Battalion has been created in the Armed Forces of the Philippines to meet the exigencies or the peace and order campaign; and
WHEREAS, the personnel to be assigned to said unit undergo extraordinary hazards in the performance of their duties;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by Section 90 of Commonwealth Act No. 1, as amended, do hereby authorize the payment of parachutist pay to officers of the Airborne Battalion, Aimed Forces of the Philippines, at a monthly rate of seventy-five pesos (P75.00) per officer regardless of rank under such rules and regulations as the Secretary of National Defense may prescribe, subject to the availability of funds and provided that in no case shall the required 4% forced savings be affected.
This Order shall take effect as of October 1, 1951.
Done in the City of Manila, this 1st day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-two, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the- sixth.
