[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 526, August 20, 1952 ]
REVIVING AND PROMULGATING ANEW EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 453, DATED JUNE 19, 1951 AS AMENDED BY EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 482, DATED OCTOBER 31, 1951
WHEREAS, under Section 3 of Republic Act No. 613, the President of the Philippines was authorized to curtail, regulate and/or prohibit the exportation or re-exportation from the Philippines on such critical materials as are enumerated in Section 1 of said Act;
WHEREAS, pursuant to said authority, Executive Order No. 453, dated June 19, 1951 as amended by Executive Order No. 482, dated October 31, 1951, was issued to carry out the provisions of said Republic Act No. 613;
WHEREAS, the authority granted to the President of the Philippines under Section 3 of Republic Act No. 613 expired upon the adjournment of the last regular session of the Congress on May 22, 1952, as provided in Section 5 thereof; and
WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 613 was reenacted with certain amendments by the Congress of the Philippines under Republic Act No. 824, approved August 14, 1952 and the authority of the Presidents in the premises was extended until December 31, 1951;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ELPIDIO QUIRINO, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the authority vested in me by Section 3 of Republic Act No. 613 in relation to Section 5 thereof, the latter as amended by Section 2 of Republic Act No. 824, do hereby revive and promulgate anew Executive Order No. 482, dated October 31, 1951, so that the same shall again govern the control, curtailment, regulation and/or prohibition of the exportation or re-exportation from the Philippines of the critical times conveyed by Republic Act No. 615.
Done in the City of Manila, this 20th day of August, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-two, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the seventh.
