[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 238, April 24, 1995 ]
DECLARING AND DELINEATING THE PAGBILAO PORT ZONE UNDER THE ADMINISTRATIVE JURISDICTION OF THE PHILIPPINE PORTS AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Port of Pagbilao has been identified as one of the major ports developed in the country;
WHEREAS, there is a need to construct the Port of Pagbilao to accommodate projected increases in port traffic and to program the provision of the necessary port facilities to meet the demands of maritime commerce and trade within the region;
NOW, THEREFORE, I FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:
SECTION 1. The territorial jurisdiction of the Port of Pagbilao is hereby delineated and particularly described as follows:
Beginning at point marked 1 on the plan, thence to point 2 at a distance of 1,306.00 m with bearing N 30 9 31 W thence to point 3 at a distance of 1,074.00 m with bearing N 10 11 25 E, thence to point 4 at a distance of 6,944.00 m with bearing N 30 10 22 W, thence to point 5 at a distance of 4,236.00 m Due North, thence to point 6 at a distance of 2,543.00 m with bearing N 59 53 11 E, thence to point 7 at a distance of 1,600.00 m with bearing S 30 10 17 E, thence to point 8 at a distance of 3,637.00 m with bearing S 88 35 52 E, thence to point 9 at a distance of 1,350.00 m Due South, thence to point 10 at a distance of 2,800.00 m Due South, thence to point 11 at a distance of 1,200.00 m with bearing S 55 8 41 W, thence to point 12 at a distance of 1,349.00 m with bearing S 29 3 17 W, thence to point 13 at a distance of 2,090.00 m with bearing S 31 21 48 E, thence to point 14 at a distance of 2,625.00 m with bearing S 73 7 31 E, thence to point 15 at a distance of 842.00 m with bearing S 30 9 30 E, thence to point 1, the point beginning at a distance of 5,858.00 m with bearing S 59 53 6 W, all in all comprising a total area of 6,350.00 hectares more or less.
SEC. 2. The Pagbilao Port Zone is hereby placed under the administrative jurisdiction of the Philippine Ports Authority, which shall, consistent with the regional industrial plans of the Government, implement a program for the proper zoning, planning, development, and utilization of the port pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 857, as amended.
SEC. 3. All other orders, proclamations, and issuances, or portions thereof, which are inconsistent with this Executive Order, are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
SEC. 4. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
