DECLARING SATURDAY, APRIL 20, 1957, AS SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY
WHEREAS, the eighteenth day (Holy Thursday) and the nineteenth day (Good Friday) of April, nineteen hundred and. fifty-seven, being public holidays, the twentieth day (Saturday) of April, nineteen hundred and fifty-seven, may be declared a special public holiday without any prejudice to the public interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, by. virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, and there being sufficient reasons therefor, do hereby proclaim Saturday, April twentieth, nineteen hundred and fifty-seven, as a special public holiday.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done in the City of Manila, this 10th day of April, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-seven, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the eleventh.
