FURTHER EXTENDING UP TO MAY 31, 1958, THE THRIFT CAMPAIGN DECLARED IN PROCLAMATION NO. 24 DATED MAY 9, 1954



WHEREAS, the period from June 1, 1954, to May 31, 1955, was declared as Thrift Year in Proclamation No. 24 dated May 9, 1954, and was last extended up to May 31, 1957, under Proclamation No. 300 dated May 31, 1956; and

WHEREAS, the result of the thrift campaign under the sponsorship of the Bankers Association of the Philippines demands that it be further extended for another year;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby further extend up to May 31, 1958, the thrift campaign declared in Proclamation No. 24 dated May 9, 1954.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
