DECLARING THURSDAY, JULY 25, 1957, AS COLLEGE PRESS DAY



WHEREAS, the College Editors Guild of the Philippines will celebrate the 26th anniversary of its founding on July 25, 1957;

WHEREAS, said organization has been instrumental in fostering closer understanding among our student constituencies, insuring freedom of the college press, encouraging good literature, elevating the standard of collegiate journalism and rendering service to the country through the dessimination of knowledge, and information;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Thursday, July 25, 1957, as College Press Day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 24th day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-seven, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the twelfth.
