DECLARING MONDAY, MARCH 17, 1958, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ZAMBALES AND IN THE CITY OF CEBU
WHEREAS, the first anniversary of the sudden and untimely death of former President Ramon Magsaysay falls on March 17, 1958; and
WHEREAS, the people of the province of Zambales and the City of Cebu request that they be given full opportunity to observe the said anniversary with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Monday, March 17, 1958, as a special public holiday in the province of Zambales and in the City of Cebu.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done in the City of Manila, this 4th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-eight, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the twelfth.
