DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 11 TO 17, 1958, AS LIONS WEEK
WHEREAS, the Lions Organization (Lions International, District 301) has been in existence in the Philippines for the past eight years, during which it has dedicated itself to the public service; and
WHEREAS, a civic organization that has done so much for our country and people deserves some kind of appreciation or recognition;
NOW, THEREFORE, I Carlos P. Garcia, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from March 11 to 17, 1958, as Lions Week.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done in the City of Manila, this 7th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-eight, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the twelfth.
