[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 50, September 16, 1963 ]
DESIGNATING CITY HEALTH OFFICERS, DISTRICT HEALTH OFFICERS, MUNICIPAL HEALTH OFFICERS AND PRESIDENTS OF SANITARY DIVISIONS AS EX OFFICIO MEDICAL MEMBERS OF ACCEPTANCE BOARDS.
1. All city health officers, district health officers, municipal health officers and presidents of sanitary divisions under the Department of Health are hereby designated ex officio medical members of such Acceptance Boards as the Secretary of National Defense shall deem necessary and expedient to establish. Said medical members shall enter upon the discharge of their functions upon notification in writing by the Secretary of National Defense and for such periods as may be required under the National Defense Act.
2. The Secretary of Health shall, upon request by the Secretary of National Defense, make available a list of the city health officers, district health officers, municipal health officers and presidents of sanitary divisions under the Department of Health and the different localities where they are currently assigned. The Secretary of National Defense shall see to it that only medical officers of the Bureau of Health assigned nearest to the place where an Acceptance Board is located are selected for duty with said Board: Provided, That the schedule of said government physicians shall be arranged in such a manner as not to interfere with their primary functions.
3. The city health officers, district health officers, municipal health officers and presidents of sanitary divisions selected by the Secretary of National Defense for service as members of Acceptance Boards shall discharge, among others, the duties and functions of medical members of the Board as provided in Section 62 of the National Defense Act.
This order shall take effect immediately.
