[ EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 52, November 28, 1966 ]
BANNING THE MANUFACTURE, SALE AND POSSESSION OF FIRECRACKERS AND OTHER PYROTECHNIC WARES.
WHEREAS, the explosions of chemicals used in the manufacture of firecrackers and fireworks have caused untold and unnecessary damage to lives and properties; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to prevent further occurrence of similar accidents caused by such explosions in the interest of public safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby ban the manufacture, sale and possession of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic wares.
This Order shall take as of January 1, 1966.
Done in the City of Manila, this 28th day of November, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and sixty-six.
