CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF MOLUGAN IN THE PROVINCE OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL
The municipality of Molugan as herein organized shall have the following boundaries:
Beginning at point I on plan N (0 N) 1,400 meters from the flag pole of the municipal building of Opol, thence, S. 47 deg. 45 min. W, 10/000 meters to point 2, thence, S 13 deg. 00 min. W, 7/750 meters to point 3; thence, S 49 deg. 00 min. W, 4/900 meters to point 4, thence, N 66 deg. 30 min. W, 3/500 meters to point 5, thence, N 19 deg. 30 min. E, 2/050 meters to point 6, thence, N 44 deg. 30 min. E, 2/050 meters to point 7, thence N 33 deg. 00 min. E, 15/950 meters to point 8, thence, N 62 deg. 00 min. E, 2/450 meters to point 9, thence following the shore line S 59 deg. 30 min. E, 3/400 meters to point of beginning. (From House Bill No. 10833)
The municipality of El Salvador shall have its present territory minus the portions thereof which are included in the territory of the municipality of Molugan as delimited above.
The creation of this new municipality as proposed in House Bill No. 10833 was approved by the House of Representatives.
The municipality of Molugan shall begin to exist upon the appointment and qualification of the Mayor, Vice-Mayor, and a majority of the councilors thereof and upon the certification by the Secretary of Finance that said municipality is financially capable of providing for the statutory obligations and ordinary essential services of a regular municipality and that the mother municipality of El Salvador, after the segregation therefrom of the territory comprised in the municipality of Molugan, can still maintain creditably its municipal government, meet all its statutory and contractual obligations, and provide for the essential municipal services.
