DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 2 TO 8, 1963, AS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WEEK AND CREATING A COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF ITS OBSERVANCE



In order to give impetus to the role of science in the economic development of the country, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from December 2 to 8, 1963, as Science and Technology Week to be observed throughout the country in schools, colleges, and universities, with appropriate ceremonies, under the sponsorship of the National Science Development Board.

The following are hereby designated members of a committee to take charge of the national observance of the week with particular emphasis on the role of science in the Five-Year Socio-Economic Program:
