DECLARING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1963, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN CEBU PROVINCE AND IN THE CITIES OF CEBU, DANAO, LAPU-LAPU AND TOLEDO
WHEREAS, Monday, September 9, 1963, marks the birthday of the late President Sergio Osme a Sr., second President of the Commonwealth, patriot, statesmen, and staunch advocate of nationalism and Philippine independence; and
WHEREAS, at least the people of his province should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate the event with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Monday, September 9, 1963, as a special public holiday in Cebu Province and in the Cities of Cebu, Danao, Lapu-lapu, and Toledo.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
