[ PROCLAMATION NO. 165, January 04, 1950 ]
FURTHER EXTENDING FOR ONE DAY THE PERIOD OF SPECIAL SESSION OF THE CONGRESS OF THE PHILIPPINES AUTHORIZED UNDER PROCLAMATION NO. 162, DATED DECEMBER 28, 1949, AS EXTENDED.
WHEREAS, the special session of the Congress of the Philippines called under Proclamation No. 162, as extended, will expire at midnight of January 4, 1950;
WHEREAS, the public interest requires that this special session be further extended to consider and finish urgent legislative measures;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby further extend for one day, or until January 5, 1950, the period of the current special session of the Congress of the Philippines called under Proclamation No. 162, dated December 28, 1949, as extended by Proclamation No. 163, dated January 3, 1950, for the purpose of considering pending measures.
All persons entitled to sit as members of the Congress of the Philippines are requested to take notice of this proclamation.
