[ PROCLAMATION NO. 204, August 23, 1950 ]
FURTHER EXTENDING FOR TWO DAYS THE PERIOD OF SPECIAL SESSION OF THE CONGRESS OF THE PHILIPPINES AUTHORIZED UNDER PROCLAMATION No. 196, DATED JULY 25, 1950, AS EXTENDED.
WHEREAS, the special session of the Congress of the Philippines called under Proclamation No. 196, dated July 25, 1950, as extended, will expire at midnight of August 23, 1950; and
WHEREAS, the public interest requires that this special session be further extended to consider and finish urgent legislative measures;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby further extend for two days from August 24, 1950, the period of the current special session of the Congress of the Philippines called under Proclamation No. 196, dated July 25, 1950, as extended by Proclamation No. 203, elated August 11, 1950, for the purpose of considering pending measures.
All persons entitled to sit as members of the Congress of the Philippines are requested to take notice of this proclamation.
