[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11280, April 12, 2019 ]

AN ACT RENAMING THE PORTION OF RADIAL ROAD 10 TRAVERSING BONIFACIO AVENUE DRIVE AT ANDA CIRCLE IN STATION KILOMETER (STA KM) 1+100, UP T O MARALA BRIDGE AT THE FOOT OF ESTERO DE MARALA STA KM 6+445, ALL IN THE CITY OF MANILA AS MEL LOPEZ BOULEVARD



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. In due recognition of the noteworthy accomplishments, invaluable contributions and exceptional public service of Gemeliano "Mel" C. Lopez, Jr., as a sportsman, public servant and socio-civic leader, particularly to the people of the City of Manila, the portion of Radial Road 10 traversing Bonifacio Drive at Anda Circle in STa KM 1+100, the intersection of Claro M. Recto Avenue and Manila International Container Terminal South Access Road under the Manuel Roxas Jr. Flyover, veering past the North Harbor Passenger Terminal Complex and the Manila North Harbor Container Port through Road 10 going over the Estero de Vitas and up to Marala Bridge at the foot of Estero de Marala STA KM 6+445, all in the City of Manila with a length of approximately 5.345 kilometers, is hereby renamed as Mel Lopez Boulevard.

SEC. 2. Within sixty (60) days from the effectivity of this Act, the Department of Public Works and Highways shall issue the necessary rules, orders, and circulars for its implementation.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in any newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate of the Philippines on March 21, 2018 and February 4, 2019, respectively.
