DECLARING MONDAY, APRIL 30, 1951, A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY



WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, which is sponsoring a national convention of Filipino businessmen to be held in the City of Baguio from April 28 to May 1, 1951, petitions that the thirtieth day of April, nineteen hundred and fifty-one, be declared a special public holiday; and

WHEREAS, the twenty-ninth day of April, nineteen hundred and fifty-one, being Sunday and the first day of May being a public holiday, the thirtieth day (Monday) of April, nineteen hundred and fifty-one, may be declared a special public holiday without any disadvantage to the public in general;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, and there being in my judgment sufficient reasons therefor, do hereby proclaim Monday, April thirtieth, nineteen hundred and fifty-one, as a special public holiday.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
