[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11373, August 22, 2019 ]
AN ACT DECLARING MARCH 31 OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN HE WHOLE PROVINCE OF SOUTHERN LEYTE, IN COMMEMORATION OF THE FIRST MASS HELD IN LIMASAWA ISLAND, PROVINCE OF SOUTHERN LEYTE, TO BE KNOWN AS THE "FIRST MASS DAY"
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. March 31 of every year is hereby declared a special working holiday in the whole province of Southern Leyte in commemoration of the first mass held in Limasawa Island, Province of Southern Leyte, to be known as the "First Mass Day". Upon proclamation of the President, March 31 of every year shall be a special nonworking holiday in the whole Province of Southern Leyte.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was passed by the House of Representatives on May 2, 2017, amended by the Senate of the Philippines on June 3, 2019, and which amendments were concurred in by the House of Representatives on June 4, 2019.
