DECLARING THE SIXTEENTH DAY OF NOVEMBER OF EVERY YEAR AS FILIPINO VETERANS DAY
WHEREAS, our veterans have contributed immeasurably to the attainment of our independence and to the advancement of democracy and freedom; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that our people, especially the youth, cherish and remember the heroic, patriotic and selfless efforts and sacrifices of our veterans;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the sixteenth day of November of every year as Filipino Veterans Day.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done in the City of Manila, this 4th day of November, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-two, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the seventh.
