DECLARING SATURDAY, APRIL 4, 1953, A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY



WHEREAS, the second day (Holy Thursday) and the third day (Good Friday) of April, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, being public holidays, the fourth day (Saturday) of April, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, may be declared a special public holiday without any disadvantage to the public in general.

NOW, THEREFORE, I Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, and there being sufficient reasons therefor, do hereby proclaim Saturday, April fourth, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, as a special public holiday.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 21st day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the seventh.
