WHEREAS,   on  07  March  2017,  the  Metro  Manila  Council   issued  MMDA Regulation  No.  17-001,  Series  of 2017  entitled  œEstablishing  a Uniform  œLight Truck  Ban in Metro Manila  (hereinafter œLight Truck Ban );
 
WHEREAS,  said Regulation  was made  effective  from 15 March  until 15 June 2017;

WHEREAS,   on   15   June   2017,   the   Metro   Manila   Council   issued   MMDA Regulation  No.  17-001-A  therein  extending  the  œLight  Trucks  Ban   until  15 September  2017 and the same was further extended  until 15 December  2017 under MMDA Regulation No. 17-001-B;

WHEREAS,  based  on  travel  time  and  travel  speed  surveys,  marked improvements have been noted along EDSA and Shaw Boulevard;

WHEREAS,  premised  on  the  demonstrated  effectiveness  of  said  Regulation, there is a need to further extend it in order to alleviate traffic congestion in the metropolis;

NOW,  THEREFORE,  the  Metro  Manila  Council,  do  hereby  resolve,  as  it  is hereby resolves to further extend the implementation  of MMDA Regulation  No. 17-001, Series of 2017 and its Implementing  Rules and Regulations/Guidelines and the same to remain in full force and effect until thereafter revoked, modified or repealed by a subsequent Regulation.

This Regulation shall be effective five (5) days from the date of its publication in two (2) newspapers of general circulation and submission of a copy thereof with the Office of the National Administrative Register, U.P. Law Center.
