CHANGING THE œREPUBLIC MEMORIAL CEMETERY  AT FORT WM MCKINLEY, RIZAL PROVINCE, TO œLIBINGAN NG MGA BAYANI 



WHEREAS, the name œRepublic Memorial Cemetery  at Fort Wm McKinley, Rizal province, is not symbolic of the cause for which our soldiers have died, and does not truly express the nation ™s esteem and reverence for her war dead;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ramon Magsaysay, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare that the œRepublic Memorial Cemetery  shall henceforth be called œLIBINGAN NG MGA BAYANI .

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 27th day of October, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-four, and the Independence of the Philippines, the ninth.
