[ PROCLAMATION NO. 1016, September 10, 2020 ]

NAMING THE ISABELA POLICE PROVINCIAL OFFICE LOCATED IN THE CITY OF ILAGAN, PROVINCE OF ISABELA, AS "CAMP LT. ROSARIO D. TODA JR."



WHEREAS, Section 25 of Republic Act No. 6975, as amended, provides that the Philippine National Police (PNP) shall be composed of a national office, regional offices, provincial offices, district offices, and city or municipal stations;

WHEREAS, the Isabela Police Provincial Office is one of the provincial offices of the PNP and its camp is located in Baligatan, City of Ilagan, Province of Isabela;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2 of Republic Act No. 10068 or the "Strengthening Peoples' Nationalism Through Philippine History Act," the State shall provide means to strengthen people's nationalism, love of country, and respect for its heroes and pride for the people's accomplishments by reinforcing the importance of national and local history in daily life with the end in view of raising social consciousness; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting to recognize the invaluable contributions of First Lieutenant Rosauro D. Toda, Jr., who selflessly dedicated his life to "serve and protect" the people, especially the people of the Province of Isabela, and was an embodiment of courage, honor, integrity and love for country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, President of the Philippines by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and existing laws, do hereby name the Isabela Police Provincial Office located in the City of Ilagan, Province of Isabela, as "Camp Lt. Rosauro D. Toda, Jr."

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
