DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 21 TO 27, 1955, AS GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WEEK



WHEREAS, the employees constituting the backbone of the governmental machinery are fully dedicated to the public service; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the people take cognizance of the invaluable services rendered by these public servants, and of their loyalty and devotion to duty;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ramon Magsaysay, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from March 21 to 27, 1955, as Government Employees Week. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines as well as all schools and civic organizations to turn their thoughts to the honest, loyal and devoted government employees in grateful appreciation of the services rendered by them. The Week should likewise be devoted to the attainment of maximum service efficiency and the highest degree of harmony and cooperation between the public and the employees.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
